Best Brewpub in Lake View, Chicago

We had a New Year’s Eve dinner at Good Times, one of our favorite places in our neighborhood. The chicken wings with mango and habanero sauce were super yummy. The side salad had a generous portion of fresh veggies with balsamic dressing. We also loved their Christmas and New Year decorations.

We stopped in before a concert on a Thursday and loved it. The service was great and our waiter had plenty of recommendations ready. We enjoyed the smash burger and the pretzel and both portion sizes were perfect. The smash burger was unbelievably tasty and juicy. They even served mocktails. The menu has a good variety and there are plenty of beers to try. I highly recommend this place for relaxing, drinking and eating.

Got to sample all beers on tap, their samosas and a simple cheese pizza. Pizza was delicious, but light on sauce. The beers were mostly solid, anything German or Czech inspired was some of the best I’ve ever had in Chicago (not surprising knowing they got the brewmaster from Metropolitan). Really nice vibes inside, solid happy hour deals!

Good times has really stepped up their game since they opened. The new Pats Pizza is phenomenal, and the craft beers keep me coming back. I hadn’t had an opportunity to try them all. Our server Rinku was great at helping suggest new flavors based on my taste. A great place for a weeknight pizza and beer.

The Indian-American bar food fusion is outstanding and very well executed. The prices are very reasonable and the food is absolutely delicious. Typical pub fare meets Indian seasonings with a fantastic result. The house brewed beers are also outstanding, with a wide variety of brews. Service is excellent and the owner is a very kind and welcoming. The entire experience was wonderful, and I will definitely come here again. “Good Times” is an understatement

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly. The food is so good. We started with the mini samosas with masala chutney. It was delicious. The chutney was just the right spice level to be a little bit spicy, but sooo worth it. We also had the garlic naan, which came with a cooling mint chutney. I needed it after dousing my samosas in the masala. We then had a paneer masala pizza, which I just want to have more of as I write this review. It was perfect.
